Did you know that scent can powerfully affect your emotions? Out of all five senses, our sense of smell is the only one directly linked to the limbic system in the brain, our emotional control center. What this means is that scent can impact not just emotion, but the body’s physical response to it. Mood matters.

“A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22)

Your Nose Knows!

When our nose detects a scent, it means that tiny molecules have evaporated from an object and entered the nose. Sincean essential oil is volatile (it basically evaporates at room temperature), its molecules literally leap into the air!

When we inhale essential oils (or anything else), these molecules travel up through our nostrils sending messages to the olfactory system through receptors. The receptors in turn transfer the information from these molecules to the brain. This results in our “sense of smell.”

Memories are Powerful!

The olfactory bulb, which is part of the limbic system, captures information through the sense of smell, helping to record a memory. That’s why you can walk into an antique store and have flashbacks of your grandma’s house; or smell acertain perfume and it reminds you of someone from your childhood or a memory from your wedding day.

Because of this, and the powerful nature of essential oils, many researchers believe that essential oils can be extremely helpful to those sorting through past memories.

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!

What happens when you’re stressed? There is an actual, measurable, physical response to it. Stress and anxious feelings are known to sap our energy, affect our skin, aggravate our muscles and nerves, disrupt digestion, affect our sleep, and make us prone to all sorts of negativity. So relax and stop stressing!

Since the limbic system is directly connected to the parts of the brain that control heart rate, digestion, blood pressure, breathing, stress levels, sexual arousal, and hormone balance, the use of therapeutic grade essential oils in our daily lives can have profound overall effects on our general well-being.

Mama Said There’d be Days Like This

When I’m working through a conflict or struggling with a spiritual issue, I often diffuse and apply frankincense, vetiver, or Neroli, and find a quiet spot alone for reflexion. This helps me to focus while I seek God through His Word and prayer.

Obviously, true spiritual healing and forgiveness come only through Jesus Christ, but we all know that negative emotions often cause physical symptoms. Our emotions are part of our physical make up, so it makes sense that essential oils are a benefit to us!

Essential oils help to set a good mood! Our thoughts matter – they affect us physically and spiritually!

“Thoughts are real, physical things that occupy mental real estate. Moment by moment, every day, you are changing the structure of your brain through your thinking.” ― Caroline Leaf, Switch On Your Brain

In other words, essential oils simply support the body’s natural functions! They help the body to do what it’s already designed by God to do – harmonize!

A Well Oiled Machine!

A lifestyle change that includes supplementation, deliberate relaxation, and clean thinking may be exactly what you need to rejuvenate your health! Thankfully, Young Living has many products that will help support your efforts! And I can even help you get wholesale prices, as well as earn points for FREE products!

The following is a list of just a few Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils and supplements that I recommend!

Singles:

Bergamot – Relaxing qualities and an amazing scent – especially when mixed with frankincense! Diffuse in a room with a comfortable chair and enjoy!

Frankincense – This oil just makes me happy! Frankincense contains sesquiterpenes, which stimulate the limbic system of the brain. Create a safe and comforting environment when you diffuse or inhale this empowering oil—a perfect opportunity to collect your thoughts. When you seek purpose or engage in prayer or meditate on God’s Word, use this oil to enhance your experience.

Neroli –  A powerfully relaxing scent used to calm, uplift, and help one sort through emotions. And add a drop to your evening moisturizer to enjoy radiant skin the next morning!

Vetiver – See if this doesn’t help little Johnny pay attention! Rub a drop on the back of his neck or on the bottoms of his feet before school. Moms love this oil for their kids and for themselves too!

In fact, vetiver is a great choice for mom to use during the weeks after childbirth! And a great one to help her cope better during stressful days or to get over upsetting events. Best used with a roller ball, since this oil is viscous (super thick!).

Lemon, Tangerine, and Orange – Happy oils!

Spikenard – Encourages a good night’s sleep and helps calm edgy feelings. This oils was poured on the feet of Jesus during a potentially stressful time.

Valerian – Encourages calm feelings and restful sleep.

Ylang Ylang – Relaxing (yet also arousing) scent often associated with romance and emotional bonding

Blends:

Inner Child – This blend encourages your mind and body to prayerfully deal with unresolved issues.

Peace & Calming – The name says it all!

Sara – Helps to productively deal with past issues.

Stress Away – Promotes rest and relaxation.Feelings2

Tranquil – Contains lavender, cedarwood, and chamomile. All three of these oils have been well documented in helping to induce relaxation.

Trauma Life – This blend aids the body’s normal response to stress and helps you deal with it by promoting a healthy emotional perspective.

The Reconnect Kit – This is a powerful emotional bonding tool. Great for use while building strong, healthy relationships.

Feelings Kit – Blends that focus specifically on the emotions.

In addition to using essential oils, be sure to take care of your body in other ways:

  • Get enough sleep!
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Spend time each day in prayer and reading Scripture
  • Eat a balanced diet
  • Avoid processed food, white flour, white sugar, MSG, food dyes, preservatives, and other harmful chemicals
  • Detoxify your home – and try the essential oil-infused Thieves cleaning products instead.
  • Have your progesterone levels checked. Sometimes hormone imbalances are the source of emotional upheaval
  • Take a good multivitamin supplement like Master Formula
  • Make sure you’re getting enough Vitamin D and Vitamin C (I recommend plenty of sunshine, the Orthomolecular brand of Vitamin D-3, and Super C.
  • Use Mineral Essence (a balanced, full-spectrum ionic mineral complex enhanced with essential oils)
  • Use Essentialzyme 4 (enzymes) as well as Life 9 (probiotic) after meals and at bedtime. Good gut health is crucial!
  • Use Super B (a comprehensive vitamin complex containing 8 essential and energy-boosting B vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, and B12.
  • Use OmegaGize (an omega3, DHA-rich fish oil complex) daily. Also contains Vitamin D-3.
  • Drink 2-6 oz. NingXia Red per day
  • Sulfurzyme, taken daily, combines wolfberry with MSM, a naturally occurring organic form of dietary sulfur needed by our bodies.
  • Support normal adrenal function! When under stress, the body produces cortisol. When cortisol is produced too frequently, it can have negative health consequences. If that’s the case, you may want to add Cortistop, a dietary supplement designed to help the body maintain its natural balance and harmony.
  • Support normal thyroid function! Mine was underperforming and I didn’t even know it. Thyromin helps to support normal thyroid function. The endocrine system works synergistically, so if one thing is off, it can throw everything off! Read more HERE.

DISCLAIMER: God designed the marriage bed to be exciting, beautiful, exhilarating, and EXCLUSIVE! My husband and I have often told those we’ve counseled, “Christian couples should have the most passionate, fun bedrooms in the world!”

That’s why this portion of my website is here. I want to help women experience the breathtaking joy of godly sexual intimacy! While these articles are written for married women, and I’ve tried to be as discreet as possible, please enter at your own risk.

A bundle of myrrh is my beloved to me, that lies all night between my breasts. (Song of Solomon 1:13)

I love our bedroom. Not just because it’s been freshly remodeled (though I love that too!); but also because it’s a place of beauty and intimacy – a quiet retreat from the world for “just the two of us.”

I realized recently that, too often, we women spend more time planning dinner than we do planning a night of bonding with our husbands. And then we wonder why we’re having “hamburger helper” love making instead of filet mignon! Throw out the fast food intimacy and let’s do it right!

Use the Five “P”s to get your “love nest” ready for a night of bliss!

  1. Pristine! Declutter your space! Your room doesn’t have to be Pinterest-worthy, but it can be neat and tidy. Dirty laundry and a pile of bills on the dresser are not considered aphrodisiacs. No, really.
  2.  Purify! Make sure your love nest is spic and span! Dust the furniture, clean the master bath, mop the floors, and make sure the sheets are fresh and clean! I recommend Young Living’s essential oil-based Thieves Household Cleaner. You certainly don’t want an awful chemical smell in your sanctuary of love!
  3. Pump! Flirt with him! Create anticipation during the day with notes, texts, and even brief whispers reminding him of what’s in store! If you get to see him during the day, make sure those brief touches count! If possible, give him an enticing foretaste of the sensual pleasures to come. Get creative! Let him dream about the evening ahead!
  4. Primp! Take a shower or bath, do your hair, lipstick, etc. Put more effort into getting ready for your sweet husband than you do anyone else! Use your favorite (or his) “bedroom oils” on your thighs, neck, and under your navel. Ask him if he wants to inhale a little sample…kind of like an appetizer.
  5. Prepare! Here’s where it gets fun! Find a pretty candy or tidbit bowl and put a tsp. of a carrier oil inside (I suggest avocado or sweet almond).Mix in your favorite essential oils for intimacy and place beside the bed for later. (I’ve included recipes below, but you could also use one of Young Living’s pre-mixed blends)
All you’ll need to do is reach over and dip your hand into the bowl – no distractions! Your bedside oils can be used for a full body massage,http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-romantic-view-aromatherapy-candles-luxurious-evening-image32520830 lubrication, or “intimate massage.” Live a little!

I arose to open for my beloved, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with liquid myrrh, on the handles of the lock. (Song of Solomon 5:5)

The Brain and Emotional Bonding

Most “sensually inspiring” essential oils work in part by initiating a warm sensation, stimulating the body, and arousing passion with their rich, exotic aroma of spicy or floral notes.

The custom of scenting the bed chamber is an ancient one that goes back thousands of years! The exotic aroma and sensations of essential oils will help make the marriage bed an aromatically rich, exciting, and pleasing experience for you both!

“I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon…” (Proverbs 7:17)

Historically, the euphoric properties of oils like ylang ylang, myrrh, sandalwood, rose, and patchouli have been used to enhance intimacy aromatically and topically.

Myrrh, which in my opinion smells best when blended with other oils, is mentioned seven times in the Song of Solomon! Is it any wonder that some believe Myrrh can help support better balance and enhanced intimacy? Because of its viscosity, it also helps extend the scent of other oils.

Intimacy, and especially climax, causes the release of oxytocin, an important hormone in the brain—a hormone that is known to promote emotional bonding. Nursing mothers even bond with their babies because of this hormone, which is also released during lactation.

This fact, combined with the way essential oils effect the limbic system of the brain, the area that controls emotions and stores memories, turns essential oils into a powerful and influential tool— even a protection—for the marriage bed! Treasure and enjoy these precious drops of joy in a bottle! You won’t be sorry!

A bundle of myrrh is my beloved to me, that lies all night between my breasts. (Song of Solomon 1:13)

Combine the deep, intoxicating effects of essential oils with an evening of loving, sensual touch to arouse intense desire between you and your husband! You’ll be amazed how “on board” he suddenly becomes with your essential oil habit! In fact, you may come home to find a new stash of oils on your bed each night!

“How much better than wine is your love, and the scent of your perfumes.” Song of Solomon 4:10

Scent and touch are such an amazing combination for bonding with your lover. A memory maker, a bonder, a scent-sual responder! Oh yeah!

Take Your Time

And remember, just like anything of value, practice. makes. perfect. The more the better!

And while you’re practicing, take the time to study and recognize one another’s desires and prompts.

Does his breathing increase or do you sense an excited response? Keep going. Does he not seem to respond? Try something else. Experiment. You have all night, darling. Take your time!

Be sure to let him know what works and doesn’t work. I assure you, it’s totally worth it to be honest about what you like and don’t like right from the beginning. Otherwise, you may spend years in futility.

Allow yourself time to relax and enjoy—to willingly respond and engage. Take the time to relish his touch – to memorize it – to linger on the very thought. To imagine. Explore, feel, taste, smell, listen, watch, communicate, reveal, and enjoy!

My beloved put his hand
By the latch of the door,
And my heart yearned for him. – Song of Solomon 5:4

The “yearning” feeling is what we’re after. So, set out right from the beginning with a mutual decision to take. your. time. Most women spend more time planning dinner than they do planning a night of bliss with hubby.

If you prepare a peanut butter and jelly night, it may be just what you get! So PLAN for filet mignon! Clean your bedroom, take a shower or bath, fix yourself up, light candles, string lights, scent your sheets, and get ready for the best part of the day!

Men are created so differently than women. Many women who seem to have cooled off in the bedroom simply aren’t giving themselves enough time to get going. That’s why practicing the art of intimate touch using essential oils may be exactly what you both need to heat things up! Neither one of you will be sorry!

Which Oils are Best?

There are plenty of oils that are excellent choices for the bedroom, but I’m going to give you just a few in this post. No worries – there will be many more to come! Tips and testimonies! I’ll also throw in some great recipes (massage oils, lube oils, pillow sprays, tasting fun etc.) to get things cooking! So keep a look out!

Some simple “getting started” oils to have on hand are peppermint, ylang ylang, and Sensation. Ylang ylang and Sensation are great used in an all-over-body or “intimate” massage oil.

Sandalwood, rose, neroli, myrrh, and Lady Sclereol, as well as the Young Living blends, Present Time, Three Wise Men, and Live Your Passion, are some of my favorite recommendations for intimate massage and sensual exploration.

Sandalwood’s mysterious musky aroma blends particularly well with the body’s own natural scent, making it perfect for a romantic evening.

Misty Moisty Mama

Most of the oils I recommend can be used intimately and applied directly to “sensitive” areas. Yes, really. A woman I know recently told me that she discovered the blend Lady Sclereol helped with occasional dryness, and its gentle warmth helped to stimulate libido when applied/massaged…um…“directly!” (Yes, THERE!) Live a little!

I arose to open for my beloved, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with liquid myrrh, on the handles of the lock. (Song of Solomon 5:5)

You can also apply a drop or two of Clary Sage, Sensation, or Lady Sclereol (undiluted) to the inner thighs and pubic bone before…bed.

If you’re not into mixing your own massage oils, Young Living offers Sensation Massage Oil that is absolutely intoxicating!

Tell hubby you need a little priming first, and see if he minds getting you warmed up with a nice, stimulating intimate massage. I bet he volunteers for the job! And tell him it will be worth the wait.

“Turn up the Heat” Lubricant*

  • 1 tsp. carrier oil
  • 15 drops Sensation Oil
  • 5 drop black pepper
  • 1 drop bergamot

Or, if you’re feeling daring, and want something a little more “tingly” for intimate massage or lubrication, try mixing a drop or two of peppermint, black pepper, or ginger into a carrier oil like sweet almond or coconut oil. Wow! But remember, a little dab’ll do ya!

Once again, while most of these oils can be used neat (undiluted), I still suggest that you have a carrier oil on hand “just in case.” Everybody’s sensitivity tolerance is different, so try experimenting on less sensitive areas first.

Warning: Be ready! Essential oils in the bedroom can cause PFST (Post Fantastic Stress Transformation). May I suffer from it and never recover!!!! The brain often associates scents with memories; so, be ready to have flashbacks of the exotic evening you had with your beloved every time you smell your favorite intimacy oils…and try not to blush in public!

*Because everyone is different, I would suggest having a carrier oil available (V6, olive oil, coconut oil etc., just in case you or your husband find any of the oils a little too stimulating. And NEVER use a spicy oil on sensitive skin without diluting with a carrier oil.

NOTE: I only recommend Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils, since lower quality oils may be toxic.

Remember cinnamon tooth picks? We weren’t allowed to take them to school because someone might “hurt themselves,” which made them all the more precious. Soaked in fiery cinnamon, sucking on one of these toothpicks was kind of like eating red hots, without all the chemicals and nasty dyes.

I decided, since I have pure, therapeutic-grade cinnamon essential oil, that I would take a shot at making my own batch of “Fire Sticks.” They turned out really well, so when my daughter, Jessica, walked into the room, I asked her if she wanted to try one. She looked at me with a blank stare, “You want me to try a toothpick?”

“Well, I don’t want you to take a bite out of it, if that’s what you mean!”

She put one in her mouth and looked a little surprised. “That’s really good!”

How have my children gotten through life without ever having tried a Fire Stick? And we homeschool for crying out loud!

How about you? Would you like to make a batch? I decided I’m putting them in the gift baskets I’m making this Christmas. Share the love!

Homemade Cinnamon Sticks

100 plain, round, wooden toothpicks
15-20 drops of Young Living Vitality Cinnamon essential oil
2 T. vodka or Pure Vanilla Extract (not imitation)
(if using the vodka option, 1 drop liquid Stevia will sweeten it up)
1 glass jar

Place toothpicks into jar. Blend together alcohol, essential oil, and Stevia and sprinkle directly on top of the toothpicks. Seal the jar, and distribute the mixture over the toothpicks by shaking. Store in a dark place for at least 48 hours, shaking the jar several times a day.

Once the sticks have been thoroughly infused, remove them from liquid and lay them on a paper towel to dry.

Essential oil-based products (and all food products) are best stored in glass. But, for my gift baskets, I like to put them in mini paper envelopes or muslin drawstring bags (found at craft stores).vial

You could also use glass tubes with corks, which are super cute. You can order those HERE:

Interesting Facts about Cinnamon:

Historically, the power and pleasure of cinnamon has been used in many cultures for various natural benefits. The most widely used part of cinnamon is its bark.

It is believed that cinnamon supports the normal secretion of breast milk. In addition, a water-soluble polyphenol compound called MHCP is abundant in cinnamon. Do some research on that sometime!

Cinnamon Bark essential oil promotes a healthy immune response, and helps maintain a healthy lifestyle regimen*. Cinnamon has been used traditionally for thousands of years as a spice, and provides a spicy and delicious addition when cooking or baking. This oil includes the naturally occurring constituent cinnamaldehyde, and is an important ingredient in many Young Living products including Thieves®, Abundance™, and Inner Defense™.

If cinnamon isn’t your thing, you could use Young Living’s Vitality peppermint, spearmint, Thieves, fennel, orange, lemon, or whatever your favorite tasting oil is!

If you’ve never tasted creamy, homemade mayonnaise, then I’m about to ruin store-bought mayo for you forever! You can use this version in a variety of recipes that I’ll be posting later – including a Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing that you won’t want to pass up!

The good news is that this is not only way healthier than the canola/soy/sugar/preservatives versions you’ll find in the grocery store (even in the health food aisle), it also tastes 100% better. As in, I could eat this with a spoon – or as a dip with veggies. Seriously. Try it!

1 whole egg (fresh, free-range eggs from the farm)*
2 egg yolks
1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard (not the spicy kind!)
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
4 cloves fresh finely chopped garlic
1 drop Young Living dill or rosemary essential oil (if you want this to taste more like “regular” mayonnaise, leave out the herb oils and garlic)**
1-2 drops Young Living lemon essential oil
1/4-1/2 teaspoon Himalayan sea salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 cup avocado oil (you could use olive oil, but it will have a distinct “olive” taste)
1 T. whey (optional – along with the essential oils, helps the mayo to last longer)

Combine the eggs, mustard, lemon juice, salt, and white pepper in your blender or food processor. Then with the blender or food processor running on a low speed, start adding your oil very, very slowly in a very thin, slow stream. If your food processor has an insert with a tiny, pin sized hole in it, you can use this to pour your oil into. This will allow the oil to be added in a thin, even stream so that it is incorporated into the creamy mixture.

Continue blending until all the oil is added. Add essential oils after transferring mayonnaise to a glass or stainless steel bowl.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups. Store in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up 10-14 days. You can add 1 Tablespoon of whey to preserve it for longer.

*I would not use this recipe if I didn’t have access to fresh eggs from free-ranged chickens from a source I trusted. I cannot recommend consuming raw eggs from the grocery store. Besides, free-range eggs taste way better anyway! Find a source!

**I only recommend using Young Living Therapeutic Grade (YLTG) Essential Oils in this recipe, since they are pure enough to be ingested, and lower quality oils may be toxic.

As much as I hate it when my family isn’t feeling well, there is a distinct closeness that comes from caring for a child or family member during these precious times. And, in the winter, this can be especially true. Steaming broth, hot tea, snuggly blankets, a cool cloth on a feverish brow, and, of course, the soothing scent of essential oils.

Do you want your children to have fond memories of you at their bedside? Because of the way our limbic system works, essential oils can help!

Scents play a powerful role in memories, especially emotional memories. Olfactory input is routed through your amygdala and hippocampus (which process emotion)…” – Dr. Mercola

Frankincense: This oil is one of the oldest oils known to man, dating back to at leasthieves_vitality_plaguet the days of Abraham. This precious oil was good enough for Jesus, so it’s good enough for me! One way I use frankincense is to apply it to my child’s temples and neck before praying for them. But frankincense has many, many uses. In fact, if it were the only oil I could have, this would be my first choice!

Thieves: This warm blend of five powerful essential oils has proven itself over and over again in our family; and should be a staple in every home.

We diffuse it, take the Vitality label in capsules, and rub it on the bottoms of our feet. I also make a homemade throat spray that includes Thieves, as well as peppermint and Lemon (all included in the Starter Kit I recommend)!

ningxia red pouringWe also drink at least 2-6 oz. per day of NingXia Red, and we always have something diffusing around the house.

M-Grain layered with Peppermint on the forehead, behind the ears, on the temples, behind the neck, and massaged into the scalp creates an amazing experience!

Just like in the movies, when my family doesn’t feel well, I sit by their bedside with a bowl of cool water (except I add a few drops of peppermint to the washcloth first) and mopPlace to wash up with white jug and bowl for water and a rugged cloth to dry with. And don’t forget homemade chicken bone broth! Check out my recipe HERE.

God has created our immune systems in such an amazing way! We need to keep them strong and supported! And, since stress negatively affects the immune system, comfort and nurture arebone-broth2 crucial during these times!

Since “going natural” in our diet, detoxing our home, and turning all “oily,” we’ve adopted an overall healthier lifestyle, and we feel amazing!

I’m thankful to have learned about Young Living and the blessing of the infused lifestyle, let me know if I can help you get started too!

We all hope to have a rich and full life, but what happens when life seems a little too “full,” perhaps bursting? Our family has been in the midst of a very busy travel season over the past few months, visiting family and friends from coast to coast, and sharing our love for natural health and wellness, along the way. But traveling for days with children can sometimes be a challenge.

Having travelled together in the past, when our older children were young and our younger children were just babies, James and I were discussing today all the things that have made this travel season less stressful. Obviously, it’s easier to travel when you don’t have to worry about diapers and car seats, but it’s more than that:

  • Pack a plug-in cooler with healthy snacks that don’t need to be refrigerated, avoiding messy foods, MSG, sugar, etc. Good choices might include boiled eggs, nitrate-free beef or chicken sticks, sliced veggies, rice or quinoa crackers, coconut chips, grapes, berries, cheese sticks, dried fruit, Young Living’s dried wolfberries, or Young Living’s Slique bars.
  • We try not to stop for breakfast or lunch, but everyone looks forward to a nice dinner for our evening hotel stay.
  • Bring along audio books, coloring books (even adult coloring books!), drawing pads, colored pencils in a zipper carrying case, journals, etc. Avoid bringing anything messy or games that have pieces that may get lost…because they will!
  • Avoid coffee or (especially) soda. Remember, sticky drinks are messy spilled in the car; and, caffeine will not only cause kids to bounce off the walls, it will also stimulate the bladder, causing more frequent potty stops. Drink plenty of fresh water and make sure everyone takes advantage of potty breaks – even if they think they don’t have to go!
  • Essential oils and blends can be used in a variety of ways, but they are especially useful diffused into the air. Their fresh aroma helps us to maintain focus and order. So, diffuse essential oils in the car! There are number of diffusers that will plug right into a USB port, making them perfect for long road trips! You will not be sorry!
  • NingXia Red and NingXia Nitro are both must-haves when travelling! Compact for travel and loaded with nutrients, both drinks provide you with the nutrition and energy you need to stay alert and feeling good. I keep some in the glove compartment unless it’s hot outside. The kids beg for it too, but the driver has priority!

Here are a few of my favorite oils to bring with me on long road trips. I bring a lot more oils than this for our various needs, but the following oils are what I need for my own sanity…er…peace of mind…

  • Tangerine is a calming essential oil with a sweet, tangy aroma, similar to orange. It is also said to help with occasional nervous irritability.
  • Grapefruit has a fresh, citrus aroma that is energizing and uplifting. I also used a few drops in my water and rubbed a little on my tummy during a recent cleansing protocol.
  • Peppermint has a strong, clean, fresh, minty aroma. Dr. William N. Dember of the University of Cincinnati studied peppermint’s ability to improve concentration and mental sharpness. James uses this to help him stay focused and alert on the road!
  • Lemon has a strong, purifying, citrus scent that revitalizes and uplifts spirits. Employers, including Vanderbilt University’s Emergency Room staff, have found that diffusing Lemon essential oil in the work place helps with the accuracy achieved at work, as well as the overall positive attitude of employees. It’s great in the classroom too!
  • Peace and Calming® is a gentle, fragrant blend. When diffused, it helps calm tensions and uplift the spirit, promoting relaxation. Ask any mom who has used it on the feet of a fussy toddler!
  • Vetiver is one of my favorites. A.K.A. “psycho chick oil” because it helps me relax when I feel like I’m on overload. As soon as I open a new bottle, I pop a roller ball on that baby, rub it on my neck and temples, inhale the intoxicating, earthy scent, and I’m ready to tackle anything!

While the above oils are the most economical choices for everyday stress and concentration, my absolute favorites are Sandalwood, Neroli, Frankincense, Present Time, and Brain Power. drop is falling down from medicinal plant into bottleYou can bet that I will almost always have one of these oils in my purse at all times!

Okay, now I need to get back to the tasks ahead. However, I do want to remind you that the best way to secure these oils for your household is by ordering a Young Living Premium Starter Kit. You’ll get three of the oils mentioned above (11 oils in total, plus a diffuser); plus, when you order this kit through me, I will send you a few goodies in your Common Scents welcome packet! Bon Voyage!

Note: Certain Young Living essential oils are labeled as “supplements” and are for internal use. This may not be true with other brands, as lower quality oils may be toxic. CLICK HERE for more information about red flags to look for when choosing an essential oil brand. I personally only recommend Young Living essential oils for internal use, since I know and trust their quality and purity.
