Okay, I know it sounds a little hokey, but Angelica has been traditionally referred to as the “oil of angels.” Pretty sure I don’t hear any heavenly choirs singing when I use it (or do I?), but it is a beautifully soothing aroma that calms the senses and helps me to relax.
BACKGROUND
Originally from Belgium and France, the herb itself has been used in religious practices for centuries as the Europeans believed it was so powerful that it was of “Divine origin” and referred to it as the ‘oil of angels’ or ‘Holy Spirit root’.
Of course, we know that since God is the one who made all the plants, trees, and flowers at Creation, all of our plants (and the oils hidden inside) actually are of “divine origin!”
During the years of the plague, stems of the plant were chewed and the sheets and roots were burned to purify the air. Angelica is steam distilled from the seeds and roots of the plant and is in the Awaken, Forgiveness, Grounding, Harmony, Live with Passion, and Surrender essential oil blends.
Be sure to grab this one when you need a little emotional support! It’s also great for immune and respiratory support!
I suggest using 11 drops in a diffuser or applying a few drops topically.
