Try giving him chocolate this year!
Valentine’s Day can be a fun and creative time to celebrate the scent-sual side of marriage! Couples with young children at home, or couples on a budget, can still get creative and have lots of fun! It doesn’t have to cost much!
This easy recipe could be painted on the skin with different brushes, and then used as a massage oil! The scent of your favorite essential oil creates a little extra excitement!
Chocolate Massage Butter
- 3 T coconut oil
- 1 T. sweet almond or jojoba oil
- 1 T. cocoa butter (grated)
- 1 T. cocoa powder
- 1-2 drops stevia (optional)
- 4-8 drops Young Living peppermint essential oil (or orange)
Melt all ingredients (except essential oil) together in a double boiler over medium heat. Once liquefied, remove from heat immediately. Coo mixture; then, pour into a mixing bowl, and beat on high with an electric mixture until rich and creamy. Mix in essential oils.
Use this creamy concoction warm or at room temperature. I suggest using dark sheets or towels during massage time, just in case the chocolate stains. Soaking in a steamy sandalwood bath afterward would be a scrumptious finish to your evening together. Happy Valentine’s Day!
