God created us as physical and spiritual creatures and, as Christians, we know that all true healing ultimately comes from Him. We are fearfully and wonderfully made; and there is so much that we don’t yet know about the human brain, hormones, neurotransmitters, the immune system, and all the other intricacies that make up the human body, as well as the rest of Creation and how it relates to man.
May we never be so arrogant as to presume to fully grasp the complexities of what God has created. May we always be willing to learn and explore, so that we are better able to proclaim God’s majesty and the power of His healing nature to a sick and dying world.
Sunshine, stress reduction, exercise, clean water, organic whole foods, a detoxed household, prayer, healthy relationships, clean air, whole food supplements, and the use of essential oils are all wonderful elements of a healthy lifestyle!
“Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.” Ezekiel 47:12
It is past time for Christians to rise up and prayerfully utilize the gifts that God gave us at Creation—plants and herbs that He spoke into existence!
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17
And attitude matters! You can’t have a truly healthy lifestyle without having a spiritually healthy attitude!
A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 17:22
We need to remember that true healing (not symptom masking, but true healing) is all wrapped up in the mysterious design and workings of our own properly functioning immune system. We are truly fearfully and wonderfully made.
We who know God should be all the more eager to use the natural gifts He entrusted to us (in conjunction with the intellect He gave man and with the most important resource of prayer) in an effort to, by His grace, glorify Him with healthy minds and bodies.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 2
