Gluten-Free Aromatherapy Dough

I have tried several recipes for gluten free therapy dough over the years, and this is, by far, my favorite. Some are too sticky, some dry out my hands, and others are oily. This feels like the tried and true play dough versions we loved as children, only without any toxic ingredients. And totally gluten free!
When making this recipe, don’t try to substitute gluten free flours for the rice flour. Most gluten free flours are somewhat expensive and include Xantham gum, which makes the dough gummy. The rice flour is your magic dust. And don’t leave out the cream of tartar or your dough will be sticky. You are welcome.

This would be a great DIY project for the kids or grand kids! It also makes a great stocking stuffer, teacher gift, or unique hostess gift! Couple it with a bottle of essential oil and a recipe card! Or just make some for yourself! Use Aromatherapy Dough to de-stress, to relax while in traffic, during study, or take a jar with you to counseling sessions!

This recipe makes 32 (1/4 C.) “servings.” Use 10-20 drops of pure essential oil per serving. Purchase emotion-supporting essential oils HERE. The 1/4 C. tin jar featured in the photo can be purchased from Amazon HERE.
