Easier Travel for More Members
Holding multiple regional events means shorter, cheaper, and simpler travel for attendees — especially international members — compared to flying everyone to Utah.

Bigger Global Participation
Regional conventions allow YL leaders and customers from around the world to participate more easily, which boosts global engagement and momentum.

Cultural Relevance
Regional events can be tailored to local cultures, languages, and market needs, making the experience more meaningful and connected for attendees.

Reduced Registration Barriers
Some members don’t attend large main events due to cost, travel time, visas, or scheduling. Regional concepts remove many of these barriers and increase overall attendance.

Stronger Local Community Building
Smaller regional events deepen relationships within geographic clusters, encouraging stronger support networks and team growth in key markets.

More Leadership Development
Regional conventions provide more opportunities for local leaders to present, speak, and get visibility — accelerating leadership development globally.

Scalable and Flexible Logistics
Running events closer to where people live can be more cost-effective and adaptable as YL expands — rather than logistics-heavy central events in Utah year after year.

Reduced Travel Fatigue
Frequent Utah travel is a barrier for many members – especially lower ranks. Regional events mean attendees can enjoy the experience without the stress of long flights, hotel costs, and long time away from home/family.

Increased Accessibility for Newer Members
New distributors and customers are more likely to attend a closer event. That early exposure to YL culture, community, and education increases retention and growth.

Road Trip Bonding
Even for those who don’t live within the city where the event is held, it can be an opportunity for smaller team to take a road trip together, rent a house, and turn it into a mini-retreat (or even a “tour”) where team bonding happens

Utah Farm Retreat
This can become a new goal/reward for team retreats. I’ve avoided hosting a retreat at the farm – even though I knew it would be super cool to allow members to experience the personalized training at the farm/distillery and exclusive attention from corporate, simply because I didn’t want it to be a replacement for or discourage anyone from attending Convention.

VACATION COUPLING

One of the sweetest perks of the regional convention model is how easily it lets you pair business with family time. Destinations like Anaheim, Orlando, Calgary, and Mexico City are already places families love to visit, which means you can attend training, connection, and education — then stay a little longer and turn it into a meaningful getaway together.

Instead of choosing between growing your business and making memories, you get to do both in one trip, stretching your travel dollars further and creating experiences your family will remember. And because legitimate business activity is part of the trip, some travel expenses may be deductible — always check with your tax professional.
