wool dryer balls

Household Hacks!

Switching to a healthier lifestyle doesn’t have to be overwhelming—it’s all about taking one step at a time! Small, consistent changes add up to big results, and before you know it, you’ll feel more energized, vibrant, and in control of your well-being.

Whether it’s swapping out processed foods for whole, nourishing ingredients, equipping yourself with natural remedies, or replacing synthetic products with natural alternatives, , every step forward is a victory.

Here are a few easy hacks to get your started…

DRYER BALLS –  – A Natural Alternative!

Did you know that dryer sheets are loaded with chemicals and artificial fragrances? Ditch them for a healthier option! Switch to wool dryer balls—just add 3-5 drops of your favorite essential oil and toss them in during the last 15 minutes of the drying cycle. Your laundry will come out smelling fresh and clean, without the toxins!

Young Living’s Seedlings Wipes work as disposable “dryer sheets” too! Again, just add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

Still dealing with static cling? Try throwing in a wadded ball of foil to the dryer on your next load. Science is crazy!

Science Lesson: As clothes tumble and rub together in the dryer, they can generate static electricity due to friction. This causes a buildup of positive and negative charges on the fabrics. The aluminum foil ball acts as a conductor that absorbs this charge, preventing the clothes from clinging together. Unlike dryer sheets, which coat clothes in a thin layer of chemicals, aluminum foil simply neutralizes the static without leaving any residue.! 🌿✨

LABELS AND STICKERS – Struggling to remove stubborn price tags or labels from glass jars and other purchases? Before essential oils, it was a real hassle—but not anymore! Simply add a few drops of Lemon essential oil, wait about a minute, and watch the sticky residue wipe away with ease. It’s not magic, but it sure feels like it! ✨

TOY CLEANER – Fill your tub or sink with hot water and a few tablespoons of concentrated Thieves Cleaner. Let toys soak for 15-20 minutes, then swish them around and rinse thoroughly. (I remember a church nursery that used to use bleach—yikes!

CARPET FRESHENER – Freshen up your carpets naturally! Fill a parmesan shaker with baking soda and add 20 drops of your favorite essential oil—Purification, Thieves, or Christmas Spirit work great! Sprinkle, let sit for a few minutes, then vacuum it all up. Your home will smell amazing!

MOUTHWASH HACK – Did you know that most mouthwashes disrupt the oral microbiome in your mouth, potentially leading to tooth staining or increased risk of certain cancers? Thankfully, essential oil-infused Thieves Mouthwash is a much better alternative, using all natural plant ingredients!

And to make your Thieves Mouthwash last longer, pour it into a glass spray bottle and spritz a few drops into your mouth after brushing. No need for a cup, it keeps your mouthwash sanitary (looking at you, husbands! 😆), and it helps you use less product while still getting fresh breath!
