This month, I will be introducing all sorts of new DIY essential oil-infused gift ideas that you can make for friends and family! You can pack your concoctions into beautiful themed gift baskets, or you can simply make a small gift (like the dusting powder featured below) and give individually as a quick and easy (but heartfelt) gift-on-the-go!
Either way, by the end of the month, you will be well-equipped to make all your own aromatic and unique homemade gifts this holiday season!
With all the reports about the questionable use of talcum powder, why not make your own body powder? It’s economical, natural, customizable, and easy! Package it in a cute tin, a glass jar, a sealed paper bag, or in a fancy salt or parmesan shaker with a raffia bow, and you have a great homemade gift!
In a zipper bag, add 1 cup of any of the following: arrowroot powder, tapioca starch, bentonite clay, or organic cornstarch. (If using bentonite clay, be sure to add a portion of one of the other ingredients, to make it more fine and silky).
Then, add 20-30 drops of your favorite Young Living essential oil, or blend (you can add more if you want a stronger scent). Be mindful not to breathe any powder or dust during blending.
Store finished mixture in a glass container with a tight fitting lid and sprinkle or fluff on body when needed!
