Mom’s Rough and Tumble Spray

My “Rough and Tumble Spray” is a recipe I’ve had in my “mom arsenal” for many years now. 💪 I used to have an extensive article posted on The Common Scents Mom that included this beloved tried and true recipe. The article is shelved for now, but I thought some of our new moms may appreciate having the recipe.

Even my elderly grandfather loved this one! It’s not just for kids! 😜

• 1 oz. glass amber spray bottle
• 30 drops geranium
• 15 drops lavender
• 10 drops cypress
• 5 drops helichrysum*
• 5 drops frankincense
• 2 tsp. witch hazel

Add all contents to your spray bottle and fill the rest of the way with purified water (approximately 4 tsp.).

Spray on knees and elbows…or wherever needed!

Of course, don’t forget a good old fashioned ice pack. ⚾️🏈⚽️

* Helichrysum is one of the more expensive oils. If you don’t have it on hand right away, don’t worry—the other oils in this recipe are amazing all on their own. However, as time and finances permit, I highly recommend having it in your mom stash, since its super powers are very helpful for a number of things!
