Last night, I had the honor of teaching an online class to over 800 women on ways in which the gift of essential oils can be used to enhance, restore, and inspire couples in one of the holiest places in the world…the marriage bed. While I was focused on interacting with this amazing group of ladies, The Common Scents Team hit Crown Diamond! Wow!
When March began, I had no idea whether or not we would actually hit our goals this month—it all seemed like a bit of a long shot, but we knew that if God wanted it to happen, nothing would get in His way. And, with such an amazing group of teams behind us…well, we were eager to see what God would do.

We also knew that our whole team was on board! I can’t fully express to you just how much it meant to us to see so many precious team members—some, we’ve only ever “met” online—rallying around us in such an amazing group effort! The teams within teams uniting their own groups in a giant collective, online pep rally! Again, wow!
Thank you to all of the teams within our Common Scents Organization…because this really is about you! I won’t name each of you and your awesome teams, and risk leaving someone out, but please know that we recognize, love, and appreciate each of you, and we cherish your friendship and your efforts! Thank you!

We could not believe the number of Common Scents Team members who ranked up this month! Stars, Senior Stars, Executives, Silvers, Golds, Platinums, and even our newest Diamond!
I was in tears off and on, as the blur of the evening celebration carried on past midnight last night. The excitement, the texts, the encouragement, the FB posts, the cheering, the phone calls! Seriously! Like a virtual YL version of Facing the Giants! Pull together and you just never know what God will do!

It all started back in 2010 when Tony Tosti, a precious family friend, one of the most knowledgeable and tenacious essential oil advocates of all time, enrolled me in Young Living. I was absolutely not interested in making Young Living a business. But I was passionate about equipping women to take care of their own health, and the health of their own families.
Thank you, Tony (and Suzy) for overlooking my naivety, for convincing me of the reality of Young Living’s Seed to Seal difference, and for teaching me how “the good stuff” (as opposed to what I was previously using) actually WORKS!
Though I was adamant about not wanting “to make Young Living a business,” (See The Accidental Paycheck) God had other plans in mind for our family; and, once my husband got on board and added his gifts of strategy and business inspiration, things started to take off! Still, we had a lot of questions and limited direction on how network marketing worked. Though we often spent those early days re-inventing the wheel, it helped us to better understand the needs of our new business builders.

Then, soon before achieving the rank of Gold, we contacted our Royal Crown Diamond, Marcella Vonn Harting. I totally connected with her edifying, no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is, YOU-CAN-DO-THIS-YOURSELF approach! And this was a turning point for us –the season when we realized this could really be huge! Since then, Marcella has continued to be an inspiring and encouraging wealth of wisdom and support! Thank you, Marcella, for believing in us!
In addition to our upline leaders, our Common Scents teams-within-teams, and our own amazingly supportive family members, we also have fantastic crossline friends to thank! With encouragement, resource sharing, brainstorming sessions, and the list goes on – the way the Young Living family selflessly supports one another is downright inspiring!
So, I woke up this morning with a full heart and with thanksgiving on my lips. I looked over at James, who must have been having the same thoughts. We are both so overwhelmed with gratitude. God’s grace and blessing in our lives has been staggering, and we are so honored for the opportunity to continue to extend that blessing to those He puts in our path. To God be the glory!
By His Grace and for His Glory,
Stacy McDonald
