Nothing says “I care” quite like showing up when someone is down. 💛 So next time you’re making a batch of homemade chicken soup for a sick friend, consider pairing it with a creative little wellness kit—filled with beautiful (and powerful) essential oil rollers.
Whether your friend is fighting a cold, welcoming a new baby, or recovering in the hospital, this is a simple, meaningful way to love on them while gently sharing the oils you cherish.
“Wellness Kits”
You can get as creative as you’d like with your Wellness Kit—anything from two or three thoughtfully chosen roller bottles to an embellished gift basket fully stocked with immune-boosting samples and helpful wellness tools.
I’ve shared a few easy tips below to help you get started!
How to Make a Wellness Roller
What You’ll Need:
- 10 ml roller bottle
- essential oils
- Carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil)
Add Essential Oils
Drop your chosen essential oils directly into a roller bottle filled with a carrier oil
(be sure to leave a little space at the top and insert the roller and lid).
- Adults: usually 20-30 drops essential oils
- Kids/sensitive skin: 10 drops essential oils
Gently Blend
Roll the bottle between your hands to mix the oils with carrier
How to Use:
Frequently roll onto temples, neck/spine, chest, bottoms of feet, or wherever needed.
Safety Tip:
Avoid using “spicy” oils on sensitive skin, and never apply essential oils inside the ear canal or in the eyes. If accidental contact occurs, flush the area with milk or a carrier oil—never water.
Label It
Always label your roller, so it’s easy to grab when needed. Scroll down for a free sheet of labels you can download and print onto Avery 64500 Labels.

Suggested Wellness Rollers
Since a Wellness Roller is simply a combination of powerful essential oils and a carrier oil, you have countless options when making them.

There are so many powerful recipes and exotic oils you can use for these kits, but whenever possible, I love to stick with as many basic starter kit oils as I can—especially for newer people, since that’s most likely what they already have on hand.
Below you’ll find a few simple recipe cards created using mostly starter kit oils—perfect for beginners and easy to recreate.
The recipe below is for a spray, but it’s one of my favorites for scraped knees and elbows!
